Your invoice is your key to getting paid.  If your invoice is difficult to read, you're less likely to get paid timely.  You want an invoice that's not only easy-to-read but clearly states the amount you're owed for services you provided. 

Follow these suggestion to getting paid:
1.  Use an effective, yet simple to understand, invoice.  The best invoices you column format.  It's easy on the eyes and leads to fast collections. 

2.  There are lots of forms out there, but you need one specifically tailored to your Professional Legal Nurse Consultant practice.  Get the 12 Essential PLNC Business Tools CD which comes with the invoice most PLNCs use.

 3.  Use standard language to describe your services. For example, instead of "looked up nursing care of patient with Hepatitis B", try "researched Hepatitis B nursing care" or avoid "wrote up report" instead use "drafted electronic report".

Using a tried and true invoice should lead to better collections.  As a result, your collections should be quicker and more plentiful.
