Is It Time To Have A Website?

Have you come to a crossroads in your Professional Legal Nurse Consulting practice when you're thinking -- should I have a website or not?  You may have just been PLNC certified or perhaps it's been awhile, but you see others' websites and wonder if you should have one, too.

Let's briefly look at the pros and cons of having your own website.

Pro 1:  Visibility. Anyone who surfs the internet could potentially find you.  By having a website, you just made yourself more visible.  With a click of the mouse, you've opened your PLNC business to all kinds of new prospects.

Pro 2:  Ability to gain new business.  Whether you just started your PLNC practice, or have been at it for years, your website levels the playing field.  With a well designed website, you can compete with anyone.

Con 1:  Cost.  You'll need to buy a domain name and hosting package.  Then, it costs to keep the website on the internet, whether you pay for it yearly, or several years in advance.  Plus, consider whether you want your website customized, which could be costly.

Con 2:  Website design.  Sure, you can use a template but do you want your "store" to look less than professional, or worse yet, the same as someone elses?  You want your own image and wouldn't want to get confused with another's website.

Weigh the pros and cons and you'll know if a website is right for you.  Just because someone else has one doesn't mean you should.  But, in this day and age, most people might expect it.
